Celina ISD has proposed new elementary attendance zones for 2027-28 to fill three schools opening in fall 2027: Alma Jo Scott, Ophelia Grumbles and Janet H. Calvert elementaries. The current Lykins and Bothwell zones would be split among Bothwell, Scott and Grumbles. Martin Elementary families who live east of Preston Road would move to Calvert, and the north edge of the Vasquez zone would shift slightly. Elementary campuses stay K-4 in 2027-28, with fifth grade expected back at the elementaries in fall 2028. The board plans to finalize the map at its November 2026 meeting.
