Board vote Nov 9, 2026; new zones start Aug 2027

Haslet

Citywide project

Northwest ISD has proposed new high school attendance zones for 2027-28 to fill J. Fred Davis High School, its fourth comprehensive high school, which opens in August 2027. Students in the Curtis, Granger, Haslet and Peterson elementary zones, plus the part of the Hughes Elementary zone south of SH 170, would be zoned to Davis. The changes also touch the Northwest, Byron Nelson and Eaton high school zones. Students already enrolled at Northwest, Byron Nelson or Eaton could stay if they provide their own transportation. Trustees are set to vote on Nov. 9, 2026.

Why it mattersChanges the zoned high school for Haslet and nearby north Fort Worth neighborhoods.
