Prosper ISD rezoning for Watkins Middle (2027-28)

Board vote Nov 16, 2026; new zones start Aug 2027

Prosper Celina

Citywide project

Prosper ISD has proposed new middle and high school zones for 2027-28, when Watkins Middle School opens in fall 2027. Lakes of Prosper and Villages at Prosper Trail would move from Reynolds Middle to Watkins, and Creeks of Legacy, Legacy Gardens, Star Trail and Mosaic would move from Moseley Middle to Watkins. Mosaic would also move from Richland High to Prosper High. Rising eighth graders at Reynolds and Moseley, and Mosaic students entering 10th through 12th grade at Richland, could stay at their current schools if they provide their own transportation. Trustees are set to vote on Nov. 16, 2026.

Why it mattersDecides the middle school, and for Mosaic the high school, for several northwest Prosper neighborhoods.
