Lewisville High's ninth and tenth graders attend its Killough or Harmon campus, and Hebron and Marcus have separate ninth-grade campuses; TEA rates these campuses as part of their high school. Ratings are TEA's 2026 A–F grades, released August 2026, with 2025 grades where we found them; TEA hasn't published 0–100 scores for these campuses. HOAs and neighborhood associations
We found no HOA. A listing in The Highlands Ph 3 and one on Balleybrooke Dr, a Highland Lakes street, say there's no HOA, and neighborhoods.com leaves its association-fee field blank for The Highlands. We found no listing that states HOA status in Ph 4, and no association website, newsletter or voluntary neighborhood group. Without an association there are no dues, no association pool or clubhouse and no architectural review; city code and any recorded deed restrictions set exterior standards. City parks sit next to every section.

- Highlands Park, about 6 acres, is next to the first three plats and Ph 4, and Purgatory Pass Park, a pocket park, is next to the first plats
- Meadowlake Park, about 3 acres, is next to Ph 4
- Highland Lakes Park is next to Highland Lakes, and the edge of the city's Lake Park on Lewisville Lake is about 0.1 mile away (its day-use areas and marina are farther), with a golf course, athletic fields, day-use areas and a marina (entry was $10 in 2022)
- Highland Village's Unity Park, beside Briarhill Middle off FM 407, has ball fields, tennis courts, trails, a pond with a fishing pier, the Kid's Kastle playground and the K-9 Kastle dog park (per a 2022 guide)
Lewisville doesn't publish a neighborhood-association map, so association names, dues and amenities come from each association's website and posted documents, the Texas HOA management-certificate registry and recent listings, checked November 2026. Ask for the resale certificate and any recorded deed restrictions on a home. We found no HOA or neighborhood association for these sections: recent listings show no association dues. Older Lewisville subdivisions can still carry recorded deed restrictions, so ask for them on any home.

50 of the 640 lots (under 8%) touch FEMA's 1%-annual-chance floodplain (Zone AE or A): 47 in Highlands, 3 in Highland Lakes, mostly on Cripple Creek Ln, Purgatory Pass, Aspen Dr and Snowmass Pl. In most cases only part of the lot is mapped, not the house. Another 7 lots touch the 0.2% (500-year) zone.

The Highlands: ski country
The streets carry the names of Rocky Mountain and Southwest ski resorts, mountain towns and passes: Aspen, Vail, Snowmass, Ajax, Crested Butte, Steamboat, Purgatory, Big Sky, Teton, Ruidoso, Eagle Nest, Wolf Creek Pass and Cripple Creek. Many end in Pass, Trail or Run.
Highland Lakes: a different set
Highland Lakes, built in the late 1990s, switches to names with a British Isles sound, such as Balleybrooke, Campbellcroft, Chapelwood and Baythorne, plus Pinehurst.
We didn't find a plat or developer document explaining the street names or The Highlands name; the matches are ours. A few streets, such as Maxwell Dr, Bogard Ln and Reno Run, don't fit the ski theme.
